New stores!! Paperchase has
opened their new store in Mazyad
Mall (MBZ). Jones the Grocer at Garden Plaza (Al Raha Gardens) is
officially open (from 10am at this stage), and they’ll take phone orders
(no home delivery as yet)! It doesn’t look like it will be long before the
other shops are also open – there will be a Zyng Asian Grill, pharmacy,
optical store, Mothercare, Claires Accessories, laundry, nails, beauty
& hair salons and more!
WANTED: English educators
"Les Fanfans
Nursery" is now recruiting for Sept 2011, and are looking for
English native educators for age groups 1-2, 2-3 and 3-4. Applicants
must be qualified in early childhood education and will care for a
group of up to 15 children with help of their assistants. Working hours
will be 8am-1.30pm Sun-Thur, with flexible timings for mothers during their

Volunteers needed–can u help?
Do you have a bit of extra time that you can donate to help
out a worthy cause over the summer? St Andrews Thrift Shop is desperate for
volunteers as so many are away over this period. Volunteers either work in
the shop or sort through donations – all in air-conditioning with free

Halfway to Xmas party - 24 Jun
Those of us that are used to having winter in the middle of
the year would know all about Xmas in July (or June in this case)! St
David’s Society is holding a ‘Halfway to Xmas’ party at The Club – with
full xmas dinner and xmas theme, should be great fun! Details in the
attached flier.

sub-group of ADWG, focused purely on golf (as the name indicates!). There
is a separate mailing list and newsletter, and a number of regular events -
weekly golf mornings with lessons for every level, weekly play &
