Hi everyone! We had a

n).
Thanks to everyone who promoted the event or came along!
Just a couple of admin

Newsletters will be fortnightly for=
the
rest of summer as there’s not as much going on around town, and =
many
of our members are away!
Also, we’re still
asking for volunteers, either for during summer or after as Jacqueline
& I have now reached the point where we need some help:<=
/span>
1.
Graphic artist/designer – we =
need
some assistance creating a logo design
2.
Coffee mornings – because we
can’t always make the coffee mornings due to travel or other
commitments, we need to put together a roster of happy helpers for both=
the
Mon/Tue mornings.
Neither of these will be
particularly time consuming, so please email back if yo=
u can
help out!

Ramadan will start on 1st August and will
continue for 29-30 days (dates will be confirmed when the new moon is
actually sighted). Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic lunar
calendar. Muslims consider this whole month as a blessed month. They fa=
st
during the days of this month and make special prayers at night. People
also give more charity and do extra righteous deeds. Also, in this Holy
Month, The Prophet Muhammad (SAW) received the first revelation of Al-Q=
ur'an
(in one of the last ten odd nights of Ramzan). Ramazan / Ramadhan is the
month of celebration as well as the month of discipline and self-contro=
l.
Attached are some guidelines and advice about Ramadan
– we thought it was worth sharing, especially if this is your fir=
st
Ramadan, or as a reminder for those who have been here awhile!

worst of the heat. Cost is 290dhs (incl lunch) or 90dhs for members.
