Member update
We have some special coffee morning guests
next week, to talk about a topic many of us are interested in! Did you know that if you don't have an
active will in your home country, Sharia
law will be applied
if something happens to your
partner? What does this mean? Our coffee morning guests next week
are from Globaleye
and will be discussing Sharia compliant wills - when do we need one
and what can happen if we don't have one? This is one coffee
morning not to miss!
We're also lining up more guests for the
coming weeks, with a focus on information and services, not just
products. So please let us know if there is something you'd like to
know more about.
And for those interested in golf, see the
attached doc for some exciting updates! If you're not already on
Jacqueline's Abu Dhabi Women's Golf mailing list, please email her so that you
receive future updates!

Take part
in Earth Hour on
AD
Corniche
26/3: 8.30-9.30pm
Emirates
Wildlife Society-WWF (EWS-WWF) and Abu Dhabi Municipality are
hosting the first-ever Earth Hour public event in Abu
Dhabi.
Earth
Hour is a global initiative in partnership with WWF.
Individuals, businesses, governments and communities are invited to
turn out their lights for one hour on Saturday March 26, 2011 at
8:30 PM to show their support for environmentally sustainable
action. Earth Hour started in Sydney, Australia in 2007 through a
partnership between WWF Australia, Leo Burnett and Fairfax
Media,
when 2 million people in one city switched off their lights. By
2010, Earth Hour had created history as the largest voluntary action
ever witnessed with participation across 128 countries and every
continent, including the world’s most recognized man-made marvels
and natural wonders in a landmark environmental action.
The
Earth Hour event is an opportunity for residents in Abu Dhabi to
support action across all sectors of society to commit to
sustainable actions, celebrate what is already being done, and to
inspire others to take action! Together our actions add up. Together
we can be the change we want to see in the world.
The
public event will begin with a lantern walk departing from the Beach
Visitors Car Park (near the Hilton on the Corniche). At the beach in
front of East Plaza, Dubai Drums and ADMAF will host community
drumming, there will be kiosks to promote environmental awareness,
and the opportunity to exchange your old light bulbs for an energy
saving light bulb and demonstrate your commitment to going Beyond
Earth Hour, other musical performances, and MUCH, MUCH More!
Info
about event is attached. To sign-up and for more information, please
