Member update
Last week, Rhonda Walker displayed her gorgeous photography (see her website if you missed it), and this week Emily Moore from www.2getthere.eu will be our guest on Monday (possibly Tue as well) talking to us about Masdar City's PRT systems (aka the bubble cars) - should be interesting! And don't forget about Masdar's first Market Day this Friday (details on left below). :) Marcia
Tidbit of the week
Abu Dhabi will be getting a few new stores over the next couple of years! Sharaf DG just opened its first Abu Dhabi store at Abu Dhabi Mall this month, Marks & Spencer will be opening at Dalma Mall (soon we hope!), and you may have already noticed the new signage for Marks & Spencer at Marina Mall (taking over part of the old Ikea space) - no confirmed opening dates as yet. Waitrose has announced it will be opening a small supermarket in the Al Raha Beach development later this year, while House of Fraser will be opening at the Central Market Souq next year.

"Les Fanfans Nursery" is now recruiting for Sept 2011, and are looking for English native educators for age groups 1-2, 2-3 and 3-4. Applicants must be qualified in early childhood education and will care for a group of up to 15 children with help of their assistants. Abu Dhabi National Libraries are opening several new branches by the end of this year, many of them right in time to escape the hot summer months! The first to open is expected to be a 4 storey branch on the Corniche, then Abu Dhabi Mall, Mazyad Mall and Al Raha Mall. See article for details.
